Currently lumbar microdiscectomy is gold standard treatment of choice in lumbar disc herniations. In this procedure, using a small 1 inch incision on medline of traget point in the lowback pain, lumbar disc matrial is removed under microtechnique. 6 hours after microdiscectomy, patient can be mobilized and discharged.
Cervical disc herniations can be treated using a variety of methods, including ACD, ACDF, disc prosthesis, and posterior key hole foraminotomy. Anteiror cervical discectomy anf fusion (ACDF) technique is demonstrated in the video.
